Columbia Southern University (CSU) is expanding its educational offerings by introducing six new degree programs across diverse levels and subjects, along with one postgraduate certificate. Additionally, the institution is launching the College of Education to accommodate both existing and forthcoming education programs.
In a news release on March 18, CSU proudly announced the establishment of its new College of Education, a testament to its commitment to expanding educational opportunities. Spearheaded by Dr. Freda Braddock, Ed.D., and a dedicated faculty, the university aims to enhance its presence in Baldwin County while introducing innovative doctoral and master’s degree programs in curriculum and instruction.
The College of Education, under the leadership of Dr. Freda Braddock, will offer a diverse range of programs tailored to the needs of educators, including a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. These additions underscore CSU's dedication to equipping educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to positively impact student lives.
In addition to the establishment of the College of Education, CSU is proud to introduce seven new degree programs and a postgraduate certificate, broadening its academic offerings to students. These programs include:
Dr. Freda Braddock, appointed as the dean and assistant provost of the College of Education, emphasized the institution's commitment to inclusive education, stating, "We will strive to practice what we teach by empowering educators to reach all students – regardless of the labels that they have been given. Labels are meant for cans and not students. We believe that any student can learn and strive for success."
This development comes after Gulf Coast Media reported earlier this month that Columbia Southern University (CSU) obtained programmatic accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) for its undergraduate and graduate business degree programs.
