Mr. and Mrs. Livingston Marmaduke Coate of Spanish Fort, announce the engagement of their daughter, Carrie Rebecca Coate, to Bobby Ronald Owens Jr., son of Marilyn Banagan Owens and the late Bobby Ronald Owens Sr. of Fairhope.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herndon Tartt Coate Sr. of Spanish Fort, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Adna Crear Anderson Jr. of Jackson.
She is a graduate of Jackson High School and a graduate of The University of South Alabama where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education. She is employed with the Baldwin County Board of Education where she teaches mathematics at Spanish Fort High School.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Owens of Fairhope.
He is a graduate of Fairhope High School and a graduate of Southwest State Technical College. He is employed by Ineos Phenol Incorporated of Mobile.
The couple will exchange wedding vows Saturday, June 2, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Fairhope.
