The Orange Beach Performing Arts Center will host its inaugural Coastal Spotlight Summer Theatre Camp from July 6-17, offering students ages 8-13 an opportunity to explore acting and backstage production in a two-week performing arts program.

The camp will take place Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Orange Beach Performing Arts Center, 23908 Canal Road. An orientation meeting for students is scheduled for Sunday, July 5, with the time to be announced.

Campers will participate in morning classes designed to introduce students to the world of theatre. Afternoon activities will allow students to perform in the production or work behind the scenes in areas including costuming, set building, lighting and audio, prop making and set crew.

The program will conclude with a live production for parents and guests at 6 p.m. Friday, July 17.

Students enrolled in the camp will receive a camp T-shirt and two snacks each day. Parents are asked to provide lunch and a refillable water bottle for their child.

The camp fee is $200. Space is limited.

Separate online registrations are available for ages 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13.
