A series of culinary events throughout May will bring together award-winning chefs, international flavors and seasonal wines at little bird and The Hope Farm, culminating in a milestone anniversary celebration for both properties.

The month begins with a high-profile collaboration on May 14, as little bird hosts its final Southern Grace Dinner of spring 2026. Executive Chef Bill Briand will be joined by two James Beard Award-winning chefs, Stephen Stryjewski and Ryan Prewitt, for a one-night-only dining experience.

Stryjewski, named the 2011 James Beard Foundation Best Chef: South, is chef-partner of several acclaimed New Orleans restaurants including Cochon and Pêche. Prewitt, who earned the same honor in 2014, serves as executive chef-partner of Pêche and Gianna.

The trio will present a five-course menu with optional wine pairings, highlighting coastal Southern cuisine and the culinary traditions of the Gulf Coast. The dinner is priced at $200 per person, with an optional $100 wine pairing. Reservations are available through OpenTable.

On May 22, The Hope Farm will shift its focus to Caribbean-inspired fare with the Cuban Experience Chef Dinner, held from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Barn. The evening will recreate the atmosphere of a traditional Cuban cookout, beginning with cocktails and followed by a three-course meal.

The menu will feature dishes such as black bean soup, crispy papa rellena, Cuban sandwiches and vaca frita, before concluding with classic desserts and café cubano. Tickets are priced at $125, with full menu details and purchasing information available online.

Wine enthusiasts will have the opportunity to explore seasonal selections on May 30 during the Wine Educational Series: Crushable Spring Wines. Held from 3 to 5 p.m., the class will be led by Wine Director Will Jones and will showcase four sustainably focused wines spanning sparkling, white and red varieties.

Each wine will emphasize fresh, vibrant characteristics suited to spring, with Chef Emily Sherrer preparing small bites to complement each pour. Tickets for the class are $75 and can be purchased online.

The month concludes with a joint anniversary celebration on May 31, marking one year of little bird and six years of The Hope Farm. The event will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. across the Lawn, Pavilion and Patio at The Hope Farm.

For $50, guests will receive access to live music, complimentary bites, liquor tastings, festive cocktails and a raffle entry for prizes including a gift certificate and curated wine basket. The celebration is hosted by Deep Roots, with additional details and tickets available online
