A huge crowd showed up at the USS Alabama Battleship Park Oct. 16 for the 2021 Coastal Alabama Down Syndrome Buddy Walk. The annual fundraiser for the Coastal Alabama Down Syndrome Society (CADSS) surpassed its $75,000 goal by raising $80,560. The mission of the CADSS is to provide enrichment through education, networking opportunities, advocacy and emotional support for individuals with Down Syndrome, their families and the greater community of Coastal Alabama.
