Coastal Alabama Community College (CACC) announced in a press release that Dendy Moseley, dean of students, has been named a recipient of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) International Distinguished College Administrator Award.

Moseley was recognized during PTK Catalyst, the organization's annual international convention.

The Distinguished College Administrator Award honors college leaders who work directly with student leaders to strengthen campus communities and expand opportunities for student success. Recipients are nominated by PTK student leaders in recognition of their commitment and service.

At the college, Moseley has demonstrated a deep commitment to student success through leadership that prioritizes access, opportunity and student engagement the release said. His efforts helped ensure students are encouraged early, supported consistently and provided meaningful pathways to leadership development, scholarship attainment, career readiness and successful transfer opportunities.

"Dr. Moseley is a leader who believes deeply in creating opportunity for students," Lynn Tincher-Ladner, president and CEO of Phi Theta Kappa International, said in the release. "Students recognize him for the way he invests in their potential — not only by supporting leadership experiences and academic recognition, but by ensuring students have the encouragement and resources they need to persist and succeed."

The release states Moseley's recognition reflects Coastal Alabama's continued commitment to fostering student leadership and academic excellence across all campuses. The college said it celebrates this national honor, and the positive impact Moseley continues to make on Coastal Alabama students.
