Claudia Dudenhefer Adam, 66, passed away peacefully at her home in Elberta on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014. A native of New Orleans, she lived in Elberta for 19 years.
Claudia was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother (Getzy).
Her love for God, her family and dedication to educating children as a teacher and principal will endure through all those she touched.
She was preceded in death by Emilie Hilaire Adam; and her parents, Mr. Leonard James Dudenhefer and Mrs. Shirley Lavigne Dudenhefer.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Warren Harding Adam; two sisters, Michelle Dudenhefer Benoit and Joel Dudenhefer; two sons, Alexander Adam (Kristina) and Nicholas Adam; four daughters, Gabrielle Wortman (Thomas), Marie-Julie Bordes (Jared), Cecile Nelson (John) and Jeanne Bernier (Michael); two stepdaughters, Sarah Lacombe (John Paul) and Elizabeth DeGeorgio (Brian); and 13 grandchildren.
Our Getzy will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held at St Bartholomew Catholic Church in Elberta from noon until 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, followed by a funeral mass.
Interment will then be held at Prince of Peace Cemetery.
