Nick Clark’s clutch performance in Daphne’s rivalry contest against Fairhope won over Gulf Coast Media readers who selected the Trojans’ senior running back as the winner of the Seacrest Furniture Athlete of the Week.

The all-state running back opened the scoring for visiting Daphne then helped seal a 16-13 win with 8 carries on the Trojans’ final 11 plays from scrimmage. On the night, Clark finished with 156 rushing yards on 22 carries with the touchdown to help Daphne earn its first win over Fairhope since 2020 as well as the first away victory in the rivalry since 2016.
