Clara Mae Smallwood Bonner, age 92, a native of Flatwoods, Ala., resident of Robertsdale died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012.

Mrs. Bonner was a member of the Church of Christ Elsanor, the Elsanor Home Demonstration Club. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Rural Route Carrier and was devoted to the Republican Party. She is preceded in death by her husband, Travis Arthur Bonner, three grandchildren and one brother and is survived by three daughters, Gayle King and Charlotte (Spud) Morris both of Robertsdale; and Sylvia Powers of Summerdale; four sons, Jerry Bonner, Larry (Penny) Bonner, Dave (Becky) Bonner and M.T. “Butch” (Doris) Bonner all of Robertsdale; two sisters, Kathleen Dees of Montgomery, and Mary Ethel Taylor of Duncanville, Ala.; two brothers, Wilburn Smallwood of Anniston, and J.A. “Jimmy” Smallwood of Duncanville; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Mack Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Johnny Emerson officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Robertsdale. A visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Robertsdale Church of Christ, P.O.
