Christ the King Catholic School second graders and their teacher Donna Morgan stand with U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Jordan Jakubowski on Fri., Feb 17. Mrs. Morgan's second grade class wrote letters to Sergeant Jakubowski, who is the brother-in-law of CKCS kindergarten assistant, Mrs. Keith, during his deployment in Afghanistan this year. Sergeant Jakubowski, who lives in Washington, was visiting family in Daphne and Mrs. Morgan arranged a surprise visit for the class. Sergeant Jakubowski spent a half an hour with the second graders answering questions and telling them what it is like in the Middle East. It turned out to be a surprise for Mrs. Morgan, too, when she was presented with the flag that Sergeant Jakubowski carried on a direct special operations combat mission in support of the global war on terrorism during his deployment.
