City of Gulf Shores holiday closings announced

As you begin to make plans for the holidays, please take note of the following city of Gulf Shores closures:

Christmas Holiday Closures:

  • Police, Fire, and other emergency services will remain open to ensure public safety and health.
  • Administrative offices for the city of Gulf Shores will be closed on Friday, Dec. 22, and Monday, Dec. 25. Regular operations will resume on Tuesday, Dec. 26.
  • The Gulf Shores City Store will be closed on Monday, Dec. 25. Regular operations will resume on Tuesday, Dec. 26.
  • The Thomas B. Norton Library will be closed from Friday, Dec. 22, to Monday, Dec. 25. Regular operations will resume on Tuesday, Dec. 26.
  • The Gulf Shores Museum will be closed from Friday, Dec. 22, to Monday, Dec. 25. Regular operations will resume on Tuesday, Dec. 26.
  • The Bodenhamer Recreation Center, George C. Meyer Tennis Center, and Cultural Center will be closed Sunday, Dec. 24, and Monday, Dec. 25. Regular operations will resume on Tuesday, Dec. 26.
  • The Pickleball courts and Tennis courts will remain open and available for play throughout the holidays.
  • Republic Services Garbage and Recycling Services will run one day late. Please place bins out one day later than your usual pickup day.
  • Yard Debris/Bulky Pick-up routes will move up one day; please have debris out one day ahead of your usual pickup day. Trucks will be running Dec. 18-21.
  • If you plan on recycling your Christmas trees for dune restoration efforts at the Gulf State Park, please place your clean trees, stripped of all decorations, in a separate pile beside debris.

  • Police, Fire, and other emergency services will remain open to ensure public safety and health.
  • Administrative offices for the city of Gulf Shores will be closed on Friday, Dec. 29, and Monday, Jan. 1. Regular operations will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
  • The Gulf Shores City Store will be closed on Monday, Jan. 1. Regular operations will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
  • The Thomas B. Norton Library will be closed from Friday, Dec. 29, to Monday, Jan. 1. Regular operations will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
