A mid-summer celebration with a holiday twist is set for Sunday, July 19, as the Christmas in July Dance returns to the Foley Civic Center.

Hosted by The Revelers Club, the annual fundraiser will run from 3 to 6 p.m. at the civic center, located at 407 E. Laurel Avenue. Doors open at 2:30 p.m.

The event is open to the public and will feature live music by entertainer Eddie McDaniel, known to many as “Santa” Eddie. McDaniel’s performance will span decades, with hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s along with contemporary selections. He has previously performed at venues including Dollywood, Disney Boardwalk and Universal Studios, and also appears professionally as Santa Claus at the Beau Rivage, IP Casino Resort and other locations.

Attendees are encouraged to embrace the Christmas in July theme by wearing casual or dressy holiday attire. The dance will include a mix of ballroom, swing, doo wop, R&B and soul music, with a large dance floor and table seating available.

Admission is $20 per person, payable at the door by cash or check or in advance online at https://events.ticketleap.com/tickets/the-revelers-club/christmas-in-july-dance-660363996. Guests may reserve a table for eight for $160 by contacting Cynthia Youngblood at (251) 623-9183.

The event will follow a bring-your-own format for beverages and snacks, with water, soft drinks, cups and ice provided. Free parking will be available on site.

In addition to dancing, attendees can participate in a Split the Pot drawing for a chance to win a stocking filled with cash. Organizers also encourage guests to bring nonperishable food items to support Feeding the Gulf Coast Food Bank.
