South Baldwin Community Theatre is once again presenting the Children’s Theater Workshop, June 4–22 (Monday through Friday), which will be conducted by the University of Alabama’s Theater and Dance Department.
There will be three workshops conducted, which will be divided into beginners, intermediate and advanced. Attendance for students is limited to age groups and time frames for the workshop.
The workshop will cover such topics as stage presence, lighting, costuming and a variety of other aspects of participation in theater.
The theater is once again excited to have the University of Alabama Theater group back this summer for their fourth year in presenting the workshop, and look forward to a great time with children and students.
Reservations are highly encouraged. The cost for each week is $100 per attendee.
They have a set number of participants they can accommodate so make sure to contact the theater as soon as possible — the slots will fill up quickly.
Daily sessions will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a snack will be provided. Each workshop will have a Saturday performance, which will be announced during the workshop.
Registration begins Friday, May 25. Registering early will guarantees your child a place in the workshop.
The theater is located at 2022 W. Second St. in Gulf Shores, across from the Erie Meyer Civic Center.
