The eagerly anticipated Children’s of Alabama specialty car tag is now available for purchase at Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) locations across Alabama according to a news release. This initiative allows drivers throughout the state to directly support Children’s and champion the hospital’s mission on a daily basis.

Grace Graffeo, Community Development Coordinator at Children’s, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response.

“To get this car tag on the road, we received more than 1,000 pre-commitments from Children’s employees, patient families, supporters and corporate partners,” Graffeo said in the release. “We are so grateful for their commitment to the children of Alabama. They went the extra mile to support Children’s and help get the car tag to DMVs throughout Alabama.”

Various partners across the state will showcase the Children’s car tag on their fleet and corporate vehicles. Notable partners in this endeavor include Landscape Workshop, Express Oil Change and Tire Engineers, Gorrie-Regan, Kid One Transport and Birmingham Luxury Motors.

The release further stated that proceeds from the sale of this specialty car tag will be directed towards addressing the hospital’s most critical needs, ensuring the provision of top-notch healthcare for pediatric patients from every county in Alabama and across the Southeast.
