Charity Chukkers Polo event to support school care closets in Baldwin County

An afternoon of polo and philanthropy will return to Baldwin County this spring as the Charity Chukkers Polo Event is set for Saturday, May 2 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at February Farm, 14420 County Road 3 in Fairhope.

Hosted by the Baldwin County Education Coalition and presented by the Shirlee’s Kids Charitable Foundation, the event will raise funds for Palm Project, a countywide initiative that provides care closets in every Baldwin County public school at no cost to students or campuses.

During the 2023-2024 school year, Palm Project distributed more than 18,000 essential items across 43 schools, helping ensure students have access to basic necessities that support their academic success. More information about the program is available at https://palmproject.info.

Organizers say the event blends sport and community impact, offering attendees a chance to enjoy live polo while contributing to education efforts across the county.

Tickets are available in two tiers. Tailgate tickets cost $50 per person and allow guests to bring chairs, coolers and food for a casual viewing experience. Children 12 and under are admitted free with a tailgate ticket. Casual attire is recommended for this option.

Luncheon tickets are $150 per person or $1,200 for a table of eight. Those tickets include reserved seating in a luncheon tent along with complimentary food and beverages. Attire for luncheon guests is Sunday casual with no jeans permitted.
