GULF SHORES, Ala. - Tomorrow at noon the Alabama Gulf Coast Aarea Chamber will hold its first "Cash Mob" at Island Drug & Gifts, at 3645 Gulf shores Parkway. This is a project developed by our Ambassadors Committee, led by new Ambassadors Chair Jacki Muhule, in conjunction with our Retail & Business Services Committee, led by Chamber Vice Chair Cynthia Tunnell.

We want to extend a personal invitation to you to join us for this event. We're hoping to get a good turnout of business leaders and residents.

The purpose of a Cash Mob is to build awareness in the community on the need for and advantages of shopping locally. Many people are not fully aware that almost any product or service that can be purchased can be purchased locally. We have purposely selected Island Drug & Gifts because this business fits the perfect criteria for a successful Cash Mob: It is locally and family-owned. It has a merchandise mix that is very diverse and many items are low cost and lend themselves to impulse buying.

Please plan on spending all or part of your lunch hour with us from noon to 1 p.m. Bring some spare cash and buy something. Let's face it, we all shop at drug stores and even if all you need is a new toothbrush, why not pick one up then?
