ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — Come celebrate with the Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, January 20 as they host their Annual Banquet at the Baldwin County Coliseum.
With the theme “These Are The Times”, the event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour and silent auction followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and an awards program at 7 p.m. Tickets are $35 each or $280 for a table of eight and are on sale at the chamber office.
This is the chamber’s biggest membership event and will recall the events of the past 35 years through a slideshow featuring newspaper clippings, old photos and interesting facts from 1976 to the present.
“This year’s banquet will serve as a refection of the past 35 years not only for the chamber but for Central Baldwin County,” said incoming Chamber Chairman Steve Brooks.
Silent auction items are still needed for the event and anyone in the community can donate. Chamber Director Jamie Mangion said. The deadline for donating items is Wednesday, January 19 but if your business or organization wants to be recognized in he program, items need to be donated by Thursday, January 13. Donation forms are available at the chamber office.
Awards for Central Baldwin “Man of the Year”, “Woman of the Year” and “Volunteer of the Year” (one for the community and one for the chamber) will be given out and nominations ae still being accepted until Thursday, January 6. Anyone can make a nomination, Mangion said.
Also, each Central Baldwin municipality will award a “Business of the Year” selected for their growth and contribution during the year and will be presented by area mayors.
Current and new chamber board members will be recognized as well as new chamber president Steve Brooks.
Dinner will be catered by Magnolia Blossom Cafe in Robertsdale with hors d’oeuvres and beverages during social hour.

Mangion said there are still sponsorships available.
