ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — The Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for 2011 Man & Woman of the Year.

This is a longstanding tradition of the Chamber, recognizing the lifetime achievements of two-special individuals each year. The tradition includes the announcement of the winners at the Annual Banquet to be held Jan. 19, 2012 at the Baldwin County Coliseum in Robertsdale. The 2010 recipients were Charles Murphy and Michele Prockup.

The nominee does not have to be a Chamber member or be associated with a business organization. It should be someone who has distinguished themselves for active support of community projects at personal sacrifice, for aiding those persons less fortunate, and for living in a manner which inspires affection, respect and admiration.

If you would like to nominate someone, please pick up a nomination form from the Chamber office or call 251-947-2626 to have a form faxed or emailed to you. Completed nomination forms along with a paragraph about why the person deserves the honor are due back by noon on Jan. 5, 2012.
