FAIRHOPE, Ala. — As part of the city of Fairhope’s centennial celebration, the Eastern Shore Art Center featured “A Brush with the Past” at the First Friday ArtWalk in April. Twelve local artists took old photographs of Fairhope and painted them on large wooden panels.

The panels were displayed at the gallery throughout April, and will hang on Section Street, between ESAC and Fairhope Avenue, in August and September.

Participating artists include Susan Alsup, Pat Buttarazzi, Debbie Kingrea, Bill Harrison, Stacey Howell, Phyllis Horne (with Bayside Academy students), Nancy Raia, Michael Johnson, Ron Thomson, Mark Will, Shawn Johnson (with Fairhope Middle School students) and Felicia Olds (with Fairhope High School students).
