SPANISH FORT, Ala.—Celebrate the St. Patrick’s Day weekend, if you like, with some traditional Celtic and Appalachian music while visiting Five Rivers Delta Center in Spanish Fort either Sunday or Monday afternoon.

The Gulf Coast Hammer Jammers and Friends will play Appalachian and Celtic music at Five Rivers March 15, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. The Hammer Jammers are a growing group of hammered dulcimer players who live or spend winters on the Gulf coast. On Sunday they will be joined by other traditional stringed instruments including mountain dulcimer, mandolin, guitar and bass fiddle.

More music will be provided for Five Rivers visitors Monday, March 16, from 2 to 4 p.m., as hammered dulcimer players gather for a hammers-only jam. This will include more than a dozen members of the Gulf Coast group.
