Casino Royale fundraiser to support Coastal Baldwin arts programs

A night of high-stakes entertainment and philanthropy is set for April 30 as the Friends of the Arts prepares to host its annual Grand Event fundraiser at the Coastal Arts Center.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. for the Casino Royale-themed evening, where guests will find a mix of gaming, dining and community support aimed at sustaining arts programs across Coastal Baldwin County. The event serves as the organization’s signature fundraiser, helping fund local art initiatives, educational opportunities and student scholarships throughout the year.

“We are thrilled to once again present our signature fundraiser, which supports our efforts all year long,” said Fred Armstrong, event committee chairman. “This is an opportunity for our entire community to support the work of the Friends of the Arts, which funds and promotes local art events, educational programs, and college scholarships. The Casino Royale theme is will add elegance and fun to this great cause.”

Attendees will receive event chips to try their luck at classic casino games including craps, blackjack and roulette, along with other games of chance. The evening will also feature a split-the-pot raffle and a silent auction with a variety of prize packages.

Top winners will be eligible for a grand prize provided by The Lodge at Gulf State Park, along with additional prizes offered throughout the night.

Guests are encouraged to dress in cocktail attire to match the event’s upscale theme. Culinary offerings will include heavy hors d’oeuvres prepared by Wharf Catering Group, complemented by a selection of signature cocktails.

Tickets are priced at $100 per person and are available at the Coastal Arts Center and online through www.eventbrite.com. Proceeds will benefit a range of programs supported by Friends of the Arts, including the Orange Beach Festival of Art, arts scholarships for high school seniors, the Coastal Arts Student Academy and children’s arts initiatives.
