Jennifer Kathleen Carty, born July 10, 1964, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008.
She was born in Tulsa and raised in Oklahoma City. It was there she met the love of her life, Robin Carty, and together they had two daughters, Aubrey and Mary. The family came to Fairhope in 1992.
She pursued her acting and songwriting hobbies as well as an associate’s degree from Faulkner. She was a miraculous gardener with gorgeous flowers. She was a friend to many artists and musicians and a bright light of energy and creativity.
She found peace and strength in studying Lakota traditions, making prayers and attending lodge ceremony.
She will be remembered for her brilliant wit, her love for her family and beauty she created at her table, in her home and in our hearts.
Survivors include her husband, Robin D. Carty of Mobile; two daughters, Aubrey Kathleen Bryan of Foley and Mary Malone Carty of Oklahoma City; two stepsons, Paul and Chris Carty of Austin, Texas; her mother, Vickey Aubrey of Oklahoma City; her father, Gary M. Wyrrick of Tulsa, Okla.; three sisters, Pamela Snow of Ocheleta, Okla., Elizabeth Sharon of Norman, Okla., and Stacey Spivey of Houston; brother, Don Paul Denton of Chicago; great aunt Pat, their families and many friends; her first grandchild Waylon, born Sept. 23, 2008 is joyfully welcomed. May we honor her by remembering her to him.
A private family service will be held.
