Carrie Rowena Bush Nugent, 79, a native of Manchester, Tenn. and resident of Gulf Shores, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013.
Mrs. Nugent was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel P. Nugent Sr., a WWII veteran; parents, Bernice and Winford Bush; son, Michael Nugent; and brother, John Earl Ogles.
She is survived by her children, Daniel P. (Mary) Nugent Jr. of Rogersville, Ala., Diane Arnold of Birmingham, John (Ronda) Nugent of Rogersville, Jacque (Harry) Hopkins of Englewood, Fla., Terry Nugent of Elberta and D. Scott (Anna) Nugent, a disabled veteran, of Gulf Shores; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013 at Pine Rest Funeral Home, with visitation from 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park.
