Ethel Mae “Perry” Capley, 91, a native of Liverpool, England, and resident of Lillian since 1974, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010.
She was a British war bride who came to the U.S. in 1946. She was a member of the Lillian Fire Department’s Women's Auxiliary, the Lillian Women's Club and founding member of Lillian United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion L. “Jack” Capley.
Survivors include a daughter Cherry (Pete) Schnatz of Lillian; two grandchildren, Brett (Rose) Sandford of Lillian and Crystal (Michael) Phelps of Loxley; and three great-grandchildren, Bethany Sandford of Lillian Briana Sandford of Lillian and Jack Phelps of Loxley.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley. Funeral services will be held at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9 at the Lillian United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at 10:15 a.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Fla.
