Robert Stewart Caldwell, 60, a resident of Maryville, Tenn., died Saturday, May 31, 2008 at his home.
He graduated from Baldwin County High School, attended the University of Montevallo and was a graduate of the University of South Alabama. He was an employee of Morrison, Inc. and Ruby Tuesday Inc. for 40 years and was a long time resident of Mobile. He was an avid golfer, University of South Alabammaa basketball fan, University of Alabama football fan, Pittsburg Steelees fan and Atlanta Braves fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, William "Mac" Caldwell.
Survivors include his wife, Polly Caldwell; daughter, Amy Ann Caldwell of Maryville; son, David Christian (Jill) Caldwell of Mobile; grandchildren, Tristan Luna Caldwell, Rainah Scott and Chandler Mitchell of Mobile; his mother, Billie Louise Caldwell of Bay Minette; brothers, William “Butch” (Jane) Caldwell of Nashville, Tenn., James “Jim” (Debbie) Caldwell of Montgomery and Stephen (Karen) Caldwell of Lottie; sister, Rosa (Todd ) Bingaman of Bay Minette; sisters-in-law, Claudia Mitchell of Robertsdale and Michaele Tharrett of Arlington, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 5 at Norris Funeral Home. Burial followed at New Home Cemetery in Lottie.
Pallbearers were Richard Good, Steve Stokke, Stephen Russell, James Stewart Bingaman, Joshua Caldwell, Paul Lyles, Frank Burt and Lee Caldwell.
Arrangements were made by Smith Funeral Home in Maryville, Tenn., and Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
