C. Curtis Mathis, 79, a native of Loxley, a former resident of Mobile and a resident of Robertsdale, died Tuesday, Apr. 2, 2013.
Mr. Mathis served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired after 44 years in concrete sales, working with Smith-Kelly Supply Co. and Sherman Industries.
Mr. Mathis enjoyed woodworking and fishing.
Mr. Mathis Is survived two daughters, Carol Bonner (Thomas) Birdwell and Trish Sparks, both of Theodore; two sons, David “BoBo” (Deborah) Mathis of Dayton, Texas and Robert “Robbie” (Charlene) Mathis of Robertsdale; one brother, Eddie (Patty) Mathis of Atmore; five grandchildren, Jennifer Overstreet, Billy Mathis, Brendon Sparks, Rebecca Collins and Kacey Long; and nine great-great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Overstreet, Damian Overstreet, Jordan Mathis, Cash Curtis Mathis, Nicholas “Nick” Feazell, Hanah Mader, Madelyn Sparks, Hailey Grace Sparks and Abbigail Long.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 5, 2013, at 2 p.m., at Mack Funeral Home Chapel with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Silverhill Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Terry Overstreet, Billy Mathis, Nicholas Feazell, Scottie Smith, Michael Smith and Dewayne Smith.
