Michael Lamar Byrd, 55, a native of Bay Minette and a resident of Phillipsville community of Bay Minette, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007 at his residence.
He was a self-employed beekeeper. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry DeVan Byrd and his sister, Shelby Jean Cowman.
Survivors include his mother, Ethel Marie Byrd of Phillipsville; brother, Allen R. Byrd of Bay Minette; and sister, Shirley A. Ammons of Perdido.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Perdido Baptist Cemetery.
