Lillian Octavia “Granny” Burke, 74, of Foley, died Monday, July 16, 2007 at a local hospital.
She retired from Vanity Fair after 28 years. She loved doing yard work.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, J.T. Burke; a daughter, Bonnie Faye Burke; granddaughter, Ashley Lynn Burke; and grandson, Michael Morris Jr.
Survivors include three daughters, Audrey Hare of Walnut Hill, Fla., Debra Price of Robertsdale and Sharon Morris of Foley; son, James Larry Burke of Seminole; sister, Kathryn Rundle of Elsanor; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 18 from the chapel of Pine Rest Funeral Home. Burial followed at Newe Hope Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday, July 17 at the funeral home.
Arrangements were made by Pine Rest Funeral Home Inc., Foley.
