ORANGE BEACH, AL — The sound of steel drums and music floated in the Bama breeze at The Wharf Friday night as thousands of excited fans showed up to hear Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band play.
The concert did not disappoint the loyal Parrot Heads who showed up hours early to tailgate and party. It was a nostalgic walk down memory lane for concert goers and for Buffett who talked about being raised along the Gulf Coast and fun times in Mobile and Baldwin County.
He was amazed at the longevity of his more than 40-year music career and how his fans that grew up on his music now bring their children and grandchildren.
He played all the favorites for the crowd which ranged in age from teens to 60s, ending the concert with “Stars fell on Alabama.” It was a night to remember.
