Buddy Galloway, 84, passed away in his sleep at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope on May 20, 2014.
He was born in Mobile on July 22, 1929 to John P. Galloway and Susie L. Nelson Galloway. On July 8, 1954 he married Bettye M. McDonald.
He is survived by his two daughters, Karen G. Porteous and Jeanne G. Hudson; his son, Marion Galloway; three grandchildren, Scott G. Porteous, Jacqueline M. Porteous and Hope Galloway; as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a son, a daughter and all siblings.
A time of gathering and memorial will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 3 p.m., at the bay front of Aunt Linnie’s. The address is 1753 Galloway Lane, off of Fort Morgan Road (Highway 181) in Gulf Shores. It will be outdoor, casual and food will be provided.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Buddy Galloway’s name.
