Louis B. Brown Jr., born April 4, 1937 to Louis B. Brown Sr. and Alberta Brown, died Sunday, May 13, 2007.

He was a native of Holmes County, Miss. He later moved to Foley, where he resided until his death. As a member of Southside Baptist Church he was a faithful servant of the Senior Choir and the Trustee Board until his health failed.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Brown; and daughter, Darlene Brown.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry Brown Sr. of Foley, Louis H. Brown of Memphis, Tenn., and Corey Woodyard of Gainesville, Fla.; three daughters, Emma (Tommie) Burns of Lexington, Miss., Bonita Faye Browon of Gainesville, and Crystain Gardner of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister, Bertha Mae Liston of Lexington, Miss.; brother, O.C. Brown of Texas; 17 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, two special friends, Louis Carvin and Josh McDonald, whom he loved as brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 17 at Southside Baptist Church, 323 West Michigan St., Foley with Pastor Fred L. Covnish officiating. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery.
