Irma Louise Brown, 74, a native and resident of the White House Fork community of Bay Minette, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008 at her residence.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin L. Brown; a son, Richard Brown; her parents, Charles and Alberta Broughton; a brother, Aubrey Broughton; and two sisters, Mary Weaver and Eudora Thomas.

Survivors include two sons, Haywood (Tammy) Brown and Raymond (Shirley) Brown, both of White House Fork; two sisters, Delores Thomas of White House Fork and Margaret Cagle of Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandsons, Mike Skirvin, Glenn Edward Knowles Jr., Shannon Brown and Bobby Brown; three granddaughters, Angel Langham, Andrea Brown and Angela Brown; six great-grandsons, Devin, Hunter, Chase, Anthony, Connor and Mayson; and two great-granddaughters, Jaylyn and Shyanna.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at Bromley Baptist Church with the Rev. John Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson Cemetery.
