Larry J. Brewer, 67, of Perham, Minn., died Friday, May 29, 2009.
He was born Sept. 18, 1941, in Sumiton, the son of Wordlaw and Gladys Banks Brewer.
He was enlisted in the U.S. Army as an MP. On March 8, 1997, he married Rita Hunczak in Fairhope. He was a loving husband, father, and friend to many and everyone he met liked him.
Survivors include wife, Rita Brewer of Perham, Minn.; four children, Dawn Banfield of Daphne, Beth Ann Bukowczyk of Hudson, Fla., Larry Brewer Jr., of Fairhope and Heather Greathouse of Robertsdale; 10 grandchildren, Matthew, Christen, Alyssa, Dylan, Damian, Diane, Christopher, Marie, Abby, and Robert; step children, Michelle Nygaard of Perham, Minn., and Paul Mathieu of Wichita, Kan.; one great-grandchild, Justin Hodges; his mother, Gladys Brewer of Fairhope; brother, Gary Brewer of Mobile; and a sister, Regina Waller of Fairhope.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 8 at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
