BAY MINETTE, Alabama — Baldwin Rural Area Transportation System (BRATS) has partnered with Prodisee Pantry to provide transportation for their clients living in North Baldwin County and the Eastern Shore area beginning on Sept. 4.
Prodisee Pantry clients will need to contact BRATS and schedule their pick-up 24-48 hours in advance. These BRATS routes are designed to pick-up people from their homes along the Eastern Shore or North Baldwin County and transport them to the Prodisee Pantry for its Tuesday Food Assistance Program. The cost per person will vary between $2-$4 per person, per way (children 12 and under are half price.)
The cost is based on the mileage from the person’s pick-up location to Prodisee Pantry. Prodisee Pantry is a non-profit community emergency food and disaster relief organization. It provides food for over 1,000 families per month, with the largest percentage of food recipients residing in North Baldwin County.
Each client’s situation or need is evaluated on an individual basis. Prodisee Pantry is open each Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 9315 Spanish Fort Blvd. in Spanish Fort. For emergency food service or for more information, call 251-626-1720.
