Mother Elissie Mae Jackson Bradley, 75, of Fairhope, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008 surrounded by loved ones at her daughter’s residence.
She was a member of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ. She was born Feb. 29, 1933 in Jackson, to Mary Bell and Ben Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lee Bradley, four sons Levert, Benjamin, Michael and Danny Bradley and one daughter Carolyn Bradley Sexton.
Survivors include nine children, Ellen (Ronald) Smith, James (Jaline) Bradley, and Arthur Bradley, all of Fairhope, Jimmie (Martha) Bradley, Linda (Marvin) Poole and Marie Bradley, all of Cantonment, Fla., Regina (Anthony) Williams and Kim (Joseph) Davis of Daphne, and Anthony Brown of Fairhope; three stepchildren, Dorothy (Richard) Jemison of Daphne; Dell (Horace) Gilbert of Aurora, Ill., and Larry (Shirley) Dacus of Daphne; devoted companion, Albert Rudolph, and his children, Albert Rudolph Jr. and Joe Rudolph of Mobile, Janice Avery of Mobile, Nicole Finkley of Georgia and Timothy Curry of Loxley; two sisters, Cora Campbell of Daphne and Betty Jackson of Fairhope; brother, William Jackson of Daphne; godchild, Edward Chaney of Summerdale; 62 devoted grandchildren, 110 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, one devoted, Bernice Perryman of Fairhope.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11 at First Baptist Church of Fairhope. Interment will follow at Twin Beech Cemetery.
