Robert “Bob” Angus Bowman, 66, a native of Goodway and a resident of Bay Minette, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008 at Springhill Medical Center.
He was an independent insurance agent and owner of Bowman Insurance agency in Bay Minette. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he was a Sunday school teacher and a member of other committees.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Thomas Bowman of Bay Minette; daughter, Cheryl Smith (Anthony) Rodgers of Dothan; one brother, E.K. (Nancy) Bowman of Homosassa, Fla.; sister, Levice (Luke) Haynie of Atmore; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 15 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Henry Cox and Dr. Chip Starnes officiating. Burial followed at Bay Minette Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Scotty Lewis, John Lewis, Bob Robertson, Charlie McKinney, Joe Fuller, Leon Lyles, Dan Watson and Harold White.
