Bonnie McKenzie Burmeister, 79, a lifelong resident of Fairhope, passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2015.
Bonnie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Daphne.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Willie Burmeister of Fairhope; daughter, Katrina (Doug) Schonemann of Fairhope; sons, Billy (Kim) Burmeister of Fairhope and Ronnie (Tania) Burmeister of Florence, Ky.; grandchildren, Peter (Amy) Burmeister of Milton, Fla., Tara Schonemann of Fairhope, Roger (Allison) Schonemann of Montgomery, Shelby (A1C Joey) Thomas of Colorado Springs, Colo. and PV2 Peyton Smith of Fairhope; and two great-grandchildren, Eliana Rose Thomas and Maggie Allison Burmeister.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, from 5 until 7 p.m., at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, at 2 p.m., from Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope.
Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 8271 Whispering Pines Road, Daphne, AL 36526.
