DAPHNE, Ala. — On Aug. 7 Congressman Jo Bonner addressed the Eastern Exchange Club, answering questions by concerned citizens and updating the group on current “happenings” in our area.
Concerned citizens posed questions on insurance, bills awaiting consideration in Congress, Social Security issues, new industry to the area, and the proposed KC-35 Tanker and its impact on the Gulf Coast.
On Aug. 21 the Eastern Shore Exchange Club will have a presentation by members of the Baldwin County Health Department. Anyone interested in attending the bi-monthly presentations are encouraged to e-mail the club’s president, Paul White, at paulwhite@bellsouth.net for more details or visit the Web site at www.easternshoreexchange.org.
Bi-monthly meetings are held at the Lake Forest Yacht Club on the first and third Thursdays of each month beginning at 6 p.m.
Exchange is an all-volunteer, national service organization for men and women who want to serve their community, develop leadership skills and enjoy new friendships. Exchange is made up of more than 800 clubs and nearly 28,000 members throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
