Bob F. White, 82, of Gulf Shores, passed away Sept. 3, 2013.
He graduated from Evergreen High School, and attended Southwest Junior College in Mississippi and Troy State.
He was a United States Army veteran, who served in Korea.
He completed his education at the University of Alabama with a degree in geology.
Bob worked for Boeing and Douglas Aircraft. He was an active member of the Apollo-Soyuz Mission team.
He worked with the state of Alabama Oil and Gas Board as a field petroleum geologist. He was a licensed stockbroker and real estate broker.
Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing and equestrian shows. He was a member of The first Presbyterian Church in Gulf Shores.
Bob is survived by his wife Barbara Jean Ellard White of Gulf Shores; one son, Garth Austin White of Fairhope; a daughter, Melissa Fay Price of Daphne; one brother, Tom White of Evergreen; one sister, Judy McLellan of Brewton; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A military graveside service will be held at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort on Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at 1 p.m. A memorial service will follow Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at 3 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church of Gulf Shores.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Gulf Shores, or Springhill Hospice of Mobile.
