Andrew Dawson Blalock III, 67, a native of Selma and a resident of Orange Beach, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center.
He was a proud father and doting grandfather.
For more than 20 years he served the Gulf Shores and surrounding areas securing real estate for people through his affiliation with ReMax of Gulf Shores. He touched countless people through ReMax but touched just as many through being an active member of his community.
He proudly attended the University of Southern Mississippi, but chose to be a die hard “Roll Tide,” University of Alabama Fan.
He retired in 2004 and in his boredom showed his creative computer savvy by developing and playing computer games incessantly. He showed skill with other areas of computer technology by developing computer graphics and web sites for others. he loved his video gaming.
His brothers were a tight group, all growing up in Baldwin County together.
Survivors include two sons, Andrew Blalock IV of Crossville, Tenn., and Brooks Blalock of Pensacola, Fla.; daughter, Heather Blalock of Nashville, Tenn.; three brothers, Tim Blalock and Pete Blalock, both of Orange Beach; and John Blalock of Lillian.
Funeral services and visitation were held Monday, Oct. 26 at Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley. Burial followed at Pine Rest Memorial Park.
