Billy Ray Presley, 72, of Cherryvale, Kan., passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2015 at his home.

Billy Ray Presley was born Jan. 22, 1942, the son of William Donald (Pete) and Ida Mae (Miller) Presley in Lottie. He attended school in Bay Minette, and graduated from Baldwin County High School.

Billy Ray was united in marriage to Karen Sue Padley on April 22, 1988, and the couple made their home in Cherryvale for 24 years where Billy Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.

Billy Ray worked for the Cherryvale School District for 20 years as a custodian.

Survivors include his wife, Karen; two daughters, Michelle Parson of Arnold, Neb. and Cindy Bice of Chanute, Kan.; stepdaughter, Susan Potter of Cherryvale, Kan.; a brother, Roger Presley of Perdido; two sisters, Fay Milstid of Perdido and Jewel Dockens of Booneville; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William (Buddy) Presley and Ralph Presley; and three sisters, Ida (Presley) Lofton, Mary Milstid and Anna Lee (Dee) Norton.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, at 2 p.m., at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Stony Daw officiating.

Burial will follow at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, from 1 p.m., until the service at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Presley, Ross Presley, Pete Frye, J.B. Hudson, Larry Bryars and Nip Hadley.
