BAY MINETTE — Big Mike's Steakhouse is increasing its presence in Alabama with a new location in the heart of Bay Minette.

Located at 110 N. Hoyle Ave., Big Mike's Steakhouse celebrated its opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce on Friday, May 22. The establishment has nine other locations across Alabama, including one in Orange Beach. Owner Mike Coler said they are excited to plant their flag in Bay Minette.

"We've been through Bay Minette a hundred times going back and forth to our place in Orange Beach, and we thought it's far enough away (and) it's close to Mobile," Coler said. "We just love the area. So beautiful downtown. We love the downtown setting, and I thought it would be a good fit."

Known for its steaks made with Certified Angus Beef, the new Bay Minette location is bigger than other spots, spanning two floors, including bars both upstairs and downstairs along with space for live music.

Big Mike's Steakhouse in Bay Minette is open Tuesday through Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m., Friday from 4 to 10 p.m., and Saturday from 3 to 10 p.m.
