Family Ministries Bible College is now open. The college is located on the campus of Family Ministries Center, 9955 County Road 34, in Fairhope.

An inter-denominational college, Family Ministries Bible College endorses a Bible-based program of study and curriculum toward two-year or four-year degrees. Credit hours will be earned for seminary classes within the concentration of course study.

The concentration of study will be directed, but not limited to: Bible studies, pastoral ministries, evangelism ministries, mission ministries and leadership ministries.

Gary Robbins, a pastor for 39 years, is ministerial director and academic dean of the college.

“Our goal is to teach these classes with a Holy Spirit anointing that will be transferred to each student,” Robbins said.

He added that each student will be empowered to go out and minister to others.

Additionally, there will be an enlightenment to Biblical world views and an understanding of the principals of kingdom-living.

Classes start Aug. 27. Each semester is 12 weeks, and students may enroll part-time or full-time, depending on the number of courses they choose to take.

Each class will be a three-credit hour course, and there will be one class per week, per course.

Starting the fall of 2007, five courses of study will be offered. The basic curriculum includes: Basic Bible Survey I (Old Testament) and II (New Testament), Strategies for Spiritual Harvest, Foundations of Faith, Kingdom Living, Intercessory Prayer, Women: A Biblical Profile, Prison Ministries and more.
