Get ready to raise the woof — Baldwin County is about to go mutts with Mardi Gras parades that are sure to steal the spotlight.
First up is the 24th-annual Mystic Mutts of Revelry 2026: Paws of Oz–A Wicked Good Time, set for Saturday, Feb. 7, at 3 p.m. Animal lovers and their four-legged friends will march in costume through downtown Fairhope, showing off everything from Emerald City glam to "wicked" but lovable mutts.
The parade begins at Fairhoper's Community Park, at the corner of South Church Street and Morphy Avenue, with a fully barricaded route winding east on Morphy Avenue, north on South Section Street, west on Fairhope Avenue and south on South Church Street.
Mystic Mutts of Revelry brings together families, pets and spectators for a family-friendly celebration that supports The Haven No-Kill Animal Shelter.
Since 2000, The Haven has helped save more than 12,000 homeless cats and dogs and maintains one of the highest save rates in Alabama. Registration fees and sponsorships directly fund The Haven's programs providing safe shelter and second chances for pets in need.

• Adult Human (ages 12 and up), includes one dog: $35
• Child Human (ages 2-12), does not include a dog: $10
• Royal Court entry for a chance to have your pet crowned king or queen: $10 (deadline Friday, Jan. 23)

Just a week later, the fun moves to Daphne for the third-annual Joe Canine Dog Parade Fundraiser, benefiting the Baldwin County Humane Society. Scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 14, from 2 to 5 p.m., the parade at The Waterfront, 1 Yacht Club Drive, promises a Mardi Gras party with a dog parade and costume contest, live music, food and drink specials and even pet adoption opportunities for those looking to bring a furry friend home.
Dog owners who want an extra walker in the parade must register the additional participant. Spots for the parade and costume contest are limited and fill quickly.
