BAY MINETTE, Ala. - Baldwin County High School will play host to a Cross Country sectional meet on Oct. 31, with runners from all over the area taking part. The 5K races will begin at 12:15 p.m. for the girls and 1 p.m. for boys.

The BCHS Cross Country team is coming off a fourth place finished at the Baldwin County Cross Country Championship meet on Saturday, Oct. 19. Coach Matt Beckett was proud of the effort. “Our team performed very well last Saturday. Of the 18 runners who ran in the county meet, 16 set a season’s best time.”

BCHS didn’t field enough runners to finish as a team for the girls and the boys placed fourth out of the seven teams. Beckett said the top five runners for the boys included juniors Terry Cox, Cory Steadham and Cameron Lewis, freshman Andrew Holley and senior Dillon Andrews.

Coming in close behind were sophomore Brayden Wiggins and freshman Tanner Clay.

Baldwin County High School is at 1 Tiger Drive and is located on Alabama 59 in Bay Minette.
