The Children's Aid Society of Alabama will host its sixth annual BCH Golf Classic on Nov. 6 at Rock Creek Golf Club in Fairhope, bringing golfers and sponsors together to support Alabama children and families affected by adoption and foster care.
The event will benefit the organization's Alabama Pre/Post Adoption Connections (APAC) program, which works to recruit and prepare loving families to adopt Alabama's waiting children in foster care.
Check-in and a biscuit breakfast will begin at 7 a.m., followed by an 8 a.m. tee time. Participants can register as individuals or as four-person teams for 18 holes at Rock Creek Golf Club. The event also will include lunch, contests, prizes and a Putting Green Contest with an opportunity to win $5,000.
Participants also are encouraged to bring a new or gently used suitcase for a donation drive benefiting youth in foster care.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses of all sizes. Those who cannot participate as golfers can support the event by sponsoring a hole, donating to the silent auction or attending to cheer on participants.
The Children's Aid Society of Alabama has served children, teens and families across Alabama since 1912. Organizers say the golf classic will help support efforts to recruit and prepare families to provide permanent homes for children waiting in foster care.
The event takes place during National Adoption Awareness Month, observed each November.
The BCH Golf Classic will be held at Rock Creek Golf Club, 140 Clubhouse Dr., Fairhope. Registration, sponsorship information and additional event details are available at charitygolftoday.com/BCHGolfClassic.
Golf and sponsorship opportunities range from $150 to $600. For more information, contact Kareemah Harvill with the Children's Aid Society of Alabama at kharvill@childrensaid.org.
