Last weekend was a big one for Baldwin County football players going on college visits to tour prospective programs with spring practices and junior days underway at many schools.

Among those touring campuses around the country included Bayside Academy’s Graham Uter, Spanish Fort’s Bishop Burkhalter, Gulf Shores’ Otto Brewer and Will Langston and Orange Beach’s Chandler Wilson.

Uter visited the UAB Blazers and picked up his second collegiate offer after the SMU Mustangs were the first to offer the 6’ 5”, 290-pound two-way lineman in the Class of 2024.

Burkhalter, a 6’ 2”, 205-pound linebacker in the Class of 2025, took a trip to Tulane and earned a verbal offer from the Green Wave which added to opportunities from Rhode Island and UAB.

From Gulf Shores, Brewer made visits to Columbia March 28 and Samford April 1. The 6’ 3”, 233-pound Class of 2024 defensive end has also made visits to other Ivy League schools in Dartmouth and Penn.

Another Dolphin in Langston, a 5’ 8”, 165-pound punter/kicker, was on the campus of the Troy Trojans for a visit after he previously visited with the Tigers from Memphis and Auburn. During a Spring Camp in Georgia at the end of March, Langston was ranked a 5-star kicker and a 4.5-star punter by the Chris Sailer Kicking Camp.

Orange Beach’s Wilson was also on the UAB campus last weekend and visited with tight ends coach Rilley Jeffers. The Blazers were just the next program on the list for the 6’ 4”, 225-pound tight end from the Class of 2024 after he’s been on visits to Southern Miss, South Alabama, Troy, Indiana and Florida Atlantic earlier this calendar year.
