PELHAM, Alabama — The Bayside Academy Lady Admirals advanced to the Class 3A volleyball state championship match with a 25-16, 25-14, 25-14 win over Randolph on Wednesday.
Top-ranked Bayside (62-7) will face Montgomery Academy (34-11) at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Pelham Civic Complex in the championship match. The Admirals are seeking their tenth straight volleyball state championship.
Against Randolph Virginia Pittman had 19 kills, 21 digs and 4 assists; Gabby DeShotel had 14 kills and 3 blocks, Morgan Dulaney had 7 kills; Sydney Chandler had 39 assists and Victoria Smith had 31 digs.
Bayside advanced to the Final Four with a sweep over Madison Academy on earlier on Wednesday. Deshotel had 18 kills and 5 blocks, Pittman had 12 kills and 10 digs, Jhalen Caffey had 5 kills and 17 digs, Chandler had 39 assists, Smith had 27 digs and Dulaney had 7 kills and 6 digs for the Lady Admirals.
