DAPHNE, Ala.—The Daphne Planning Commission unanimously accepted Bayside Academy’s request to expand the weight room and add a locker room and bathroom.
The weight room expansion would be approximately 1,700 square feet.
It’s filling in a vacant space right below the track. We’ve got a little spot right there,” Bayside Headmaster Tom Johnson said.
The locker room and bathroom addition will be underneath the stadium to give fans easier access to facilities during events.
“We’re enclosing the bottom of the grandstand bleachers,” Johnson said. “It gives us some public restrooms. Right now the public restrooms are in the other building. It’s also handicap accessible. The locker room is for visiting teams. It’s a multi-purpose room.”
