DAPHNE, Ala.— Bayside Academy held an appreciation assembly Tuesday for the 2013 state champion volleyball and state champion girls cross country teams. 

The Bayside Academy volleyball team won the Alabama High School Athletic Association 3A State Championship for the 12th time in a row, the 19th state title under head coach Ann Schilling and the 22nd state crown in school history to extend the Lady Admirals' all-time lead among AHSAA member schools. 

Varsity players include Anna Lazzari, Erin Brown, Gillian Grice, Jhalen Caffey, MVP Sydney Chandler, ALL-State Lauren Chastang, Julia Martin, Madison Taylor, Madison Matthews, Harper Morrison, Ariel Dulaney, All-State Morgan Dulaney, Juliet Mace, Brantley Rhodes, Emily McCrory, Blakeley Jones and Kaitlyn Morris.
